Listen, I'm a mama, too. I've had my youngest cry almost the entire length of our family session, and yes, it was a little frustrating because we know those beautiful happy kids on a day to day basis aren't showing in this moment. However, they're growing little people with strong emotions and thoughts.

I am here to guide your family the entire way! Please put your trust in me before losing your patience with your kids because nothing tarnishes the moment more than a big reaction because then your kids will have big emotions and won't have any room for fun afterwards.

I run my sessions off your kids, I try and find their interests, what makes them laugh, that spark that shows hey, what's this lady got up her sleeve and play along!

I tried getting sweet Ava here to run underneath the blanket, and she wanted nothing to do with it. That's okay. Let's shift the idea to something that interests HER. Swinging, of course! What kid doesn't love that?!

She was also very interested in plucking all the petals off the flowers while snuggling her mama. I let her take the lead and explore the field, and show mom and dad the way.
